Pricing: 2/5

Transparent pricing is available.

Detailed all inclusive packages are listed.

Aftercare medications, and shampoos are included in the price.

A fixed price for a single surgical session.

The premium package is affordable (Price < 3000€)

In the field of hair transplantation clinics within Turkey, competition is high. With so many options available, the main thing we expect from clinics is to be as transparent as possible.

Unfortunately, however, BlueMagic Group Clinic’s transparency is full of holes.

The clinic does not have an official list of its prices and packages, and it doesn’t even have a cost/pricing page in the first place. However, if you go through their entire consultation process, they give you a fixed price for their surgical sessions:

1 Session2 Sessions
FUE/DHI2500 – 3000 Euro3500 Euro – 4000 Euro

Their determined price for any session stays the same is a big plus. However, their website does not entirely say what this price contains.

From what we gathered through online reviews and their brochure, we see that each of their packages contains at least the following:

  • 5 Star Luxurious Hotel (4 Days and 3 Nights, with breakfast included).
  • Private Chauffeur/ All Transfers Included in VIP Vehicle.
  • Translator.
  • PRP Included (£600 value).
  • Post-Operative Medications.
  • 12 Months of Aftercare.
  • Golden life warranty provided (money-back guarantee).

Although the minimum requirements for each package are pretty luxurious, their surgical methods raise some questions.

As they lack many details about their pricing, the only differing factor seems to be the number of sessions. But they do not clarify how they determine this number. Similarly, they do not talk about whether and how the patient’s condition or the chosen method for the hair transplant may or may not affect the price.

Overall, we find their pricing quite elusive as with the limited information they provide, a 2000 hair graft patient with the FUE method and a 5000+ hair graft patient with the DHI method seems to be paying the same €3000+ worth of money.

Pre-Surgery, Consultation and Booking: 2/5

Scalp condition improved with pre-op instructions for the best result.

1-1 online consultation with the doctor is available.

Detailed hair loss and transplant report provided. (+)

English-speaking customer success and sales specialists available.

Detailed information of phases provided.

Blue Magic Group Clinic’s website and online patient reviews do not mention pre-op scalp condition-improving instructions or pre-op supplements. Having no instructions to prepare the scalp beforehand is a minus for the clinic.

There is also no way to meet with the primary doctor of the clinic before the operation, and the customer service agent handles the consultation process entirely. There is not even a definite “main doctor” that acts as the supervisor in the clinic.

According to the patients’ reviews from the past, the clinic used to have two doctors mainly present in every surgery, but since then, they have left the clinic. And now, it seems the remaining technicians just divide responsibilities among themselves.

Despite this absence, the rest of the consultation process is very smooth. Their online free consultation contains a personalized hair analysis that questions the patient and creates a report after they have finished their booking. The clinic can easily be reached out to learn more about this form through Whatsapp or email.

Lastly, the phases they go through in each of their transplant techniques and type is explained in-depth on their website.

Facilities, Services, and Accommodation 5/5

Transfers are done with a VIP van.

5- star International Hotels included.

3-night accommodation included.

Operation rooms in hospitals/clinics are top-notch.

The hotel and clinic are in the central location.

Upon arriving in Istanbul, the clinic’s VIP transport welcomes the patient and transfers them directly to the clinic. BlueMagic Group Clinic’s surgical process begins with preparations made on the first day by examining the patient’s scalp.

After that, the patient is transferred to a 5-Star international hotel. The clinic provides three nights and four days of accommodation, which is much higher than the average. The extra day at the hotel offers a suitable environment for the patient to recover and rest.

The clinic has a modern-looking building with a sign of excellence and luxury. But, there are reports of patients online saying that they had difficulty locating the clinic as, apparently, the clinic shares the building with another medical company. However, the interior design appears very hygienic and clean.

The clinic is located in Sisli Istanbul (European Side), and with only 2 kilometers between them, the hotel is at Taksim İstanbul. Both of which are central places of Istanbul that are easy to reach.

Overall, BlueMagic Group Clinic’s transportation services are top-notch.

Physicians and Staff: 2/5

A dermatologist or plastic surgeon is available.

An anesthesiologist for sedation is available.

The surgeon has done over 1000 hair transplants.

3 or more technicians/nurses are part of the operational team.

English-speaking physicians and staff.

The clinic does not have any surgeons at present with dermatology or plastic surgery certifications, which is a huge minus.

On the other hand, their team does have an anesthesiologist at the site, Murat Akca. But aside from not presenting any information about their anesthesiologist’s medical background, they do not explain if their anesthesia options include a needle-free dermojet sedation.

Due to the same reason, we do not know how many years of experience any technician in their team has or how many operations they have worked. The clinic says their total number is over 20k, but we do not know which members were present during those surgeries. And the clinic does absolutely nothing to give any information about their doctors. In fact, some patients online complained about seeing only nurses during the surgery.

The team comprises 5 doctors, 1 anesthesiologist, 1 nurse, and 13 medical consultants. Overall, patient reviews tell us that in each operation, more than 3 people are present, apart from the primary doctor conducting the surgery.

However, the seat of the primary doctor that represents the clinic seems to be currently empty, with different doctors from their team taking charge from time to time. According to patient reviews, the clinic used to have Dr. Serkan Kemal & Dr. Selahattin Tulunay on their team as the supervising doctors present in every surgery. However, they both have left and opened up their own clinics.

And these technicians that act instead of the doctor do not speak English fluently. Their packages do include a translator, but aside from the translator, nobody on their team speaks English.

Surgery Methods and Doctor Involvement: 0/5

A doctor performs & supervises all operations.

Bio-enhancements are used for harvested graft preservation.

Only one patient a day accepted / No simultaneous operations.

Needle-free local anesthesia and sedation are available.

Laser-assisted hairline drawing and telogen/miniaturization check.

BlueMagic Group Clinic provides its patients with various options for hair transplants; regular FUE, Sapphire FUE, DHI FUE, and many more viable options for patients.

However, in none of these options, a doctor is present to perform and supervise the entire operation for the reasons we explained earlier.

Similarly, despite PRP injections as a core part of their packages, they do not include bio-enhancement in any transplant options. This is a huge minus, as the patient’s graft survival depends entirely on the transplant method they will take without any enhancement to preserve the health of the harvested grafts.

Their consultation page mentions that they take 10 patients a day, which is already much higher than accepting and focusing on a single patient a day. Operating such an increased number of surgeries simultaneously or back to back causes many online patients to view this clinic as a potential “hair mill.”

We are not giving a clear answer to whether their anesthesiologist provides sedation through needle-free local anesthesia. Instead, the patient reviews they chose and put on their website talk about the anesthesia administration process is a bit painful due to needles. Using anesthesia is vital, but having no needle-free option is a minus.

Lastly, they do not discuss their pre-surgery hairline drawing being made with laser assistance or checking telogen/miniaturization. The clinic mentions almost nothing about its pre-surgery equipment and focuses entirely on post-surgery.

Post-Surgery, Instructions and Aftercare: 2/5

Regular post-op doctor consultations are provided.

Re-operation guarantee or lifetime warranty available.

Online post-op instructions are easily accessible.

Post-op ATPv spray provided for increased graft survival.

Medications and shampoos are available.

Following the day of the surgery, the clinic does the first hair wash with the special shampoo that is part of the post-surgery medications they provide within their packages. The patient is also taught essential post-surgery points for better healing and aftercare. Unfortunately, the aftercare instructions are unavailable online despite being present in every package.

The aftercare package they provide does last for 1 entire year. But in the meantime, the clinic itself does not do anything to contact the patient regularly after the operation to monitor their healing process.

These medications are not specified and vary from one patient’s testimony to another.

However, they all have one crucial thing in common. Despite providing medication and shampoo, they lack post-op ATPv spray to increase graft survival. The post-op ATPv spray is considered a bio-enhancement, and the clinic does not employ bio-enhanced hair transplant procedures, as we mentioned earlier.

The clinic has many reviews from various sources, which is good for those who want to hear every argument before deciding.

They rarely respond to reviews, and especially negative reviews are almost always looked over. Doctors should be able to accept criticism and handle negative reviews instead of avoiding them as it puts a question mark on prospects. A solution-oriented approach is necessary to increase confidence in the clinic.

Some of the bad reviews are as follows:

Before and After Photos: 2/5

Before/After photos available.

Natural-looking results (especially hairline).

Graft survival over %90.

No overharvesting.

The surgery technique is indicated.

The clinic provides many before and after patient pictures on its website and social media accounts. And despite a reasonable amount of harvesting being visibly done, the results seem crumbling on hairlines.

Graft survival rates are reasonable but not over 90% in some patients. Not having a definitive over %90 rate for graft survival rate despite PRP injection clearly indicates how much bio-enhancements and ATPv sprays are needed.

Lastly, the clinic does provide different angles for its picture but, unfortunately, does not specify the chosen technique in each case.

Conclusion

BlueMagic Group Clinic Hair Transplant Clinic Rating

2.3

Having a VIP transportation procedure that includes 4 days of accommodation at a 5-star hotel is the highlight of this review. Also, the booking process is smooth, and many patient testimonials and pictures are provided on the website.

There are many reviews regarding the insufficient pre-surgery help of the clinic damaging the patient’s hair without the necessary bio-enhancements.

Lack of knowledge about their medical team or their packages is among the essential factors in reducing the rating of the clinic.

Similarly, the lack of answers to countless negative comments on the internet damages the reliability of the clinic. We expect them to gain more attention.

Based on our Price-Service-Result (PSR) framework, our rating for BlueMagic Group Clinic is 2.3/5.0.

Finally, here is the final question for you to answer:

Is it okay to entrust your hair to a clinic from which the primary doctors themselves have left?
