Transparent pricing is available.

Detailed all inclusive packages are listed.

Aftercare medications, and shampoos are included in the price.

A fixed price for a single surgical session.

The premium package is affordable (Price < 3000€)

Our first impression of CapilClinic Turkey starts off well as they provide a very transparent pricing system on their website. For each of their all-inclusive packages, there is an in-depth explanation of which services are included. This level of transparency creates reliability and is a big factor in deciding between potential clinics. That is a big plus.

According to the information they provide, however, these packages do not contain medications and shampoo. We do not know if they can be included with extra cause, but in either case, it is a big risk to leave the post-surgery recovery process to the patient entirely. That is a minus.

Here are the four all-inclusive packages presented at CapilClinic Turkey:

2790£

The website explains that the amount of needed grafts for each patient does not affect the prices of the packages. In other words, that means the clinic provides maximum grafts for a fixed price. It is great to know, in that regard, that patients can expect the maximum amount of effort the clinic can provide. That is a plus.

Since grafts do not affect the prices, and the prices of some supportive services, such as aftercare products, are not presented in the packages, the only factor seems to be the chosen method. That being said, the clinic’s most premium package is way above the average in Turkey, as 2790£ greatly exceeds 3000€ in today’s exchange rate.

Pre-Surgery, Consultation and Booking: 3/5

Scalp condition improved with pre-op instructions for the best result.

1-1 online consultation with the doctor is available.

Detailed hair loss and transplant report provided. (+)

English-speaking customer success and sales specialists available.

Detailed information of phases provided.

CapilClinic Turkey has no information about how patients should prepare themselves before their surgery to achieve better results. The clinic doesn’t even have a blog that provides some side information about this process. That is a minus.

Also, patients have no option of having a 1-1 online consultation with a doctor. In fact, even the idea of having consultation pre-op is only brought up in the more expensive packages. These personal consultations are fundamental to ensure that the patient is properly observed by the doctor and prepared for the surgery. That is a big minus.

What is weird is that these services appear in CapilClinic’s UK and Spain clinics but not here. Since the clinic shields these incredibly vital services behind a paywall, it is difficult to know what exactly happens when patients ask to get a quote/free consultation before deciding on a package.

Regardless, according to other parts of the website and the patient reviews online, consultation is present with the customer service team and is very thorough. They first ask for pictures from different angles to give a personalized hair loss report. Then, decide which option is suited the most depending on the photos and the medical history.

To get a sense of what they will go through, potential patients of CapilClinc Turkey can check the website to know more about the phases of the whole hair transplant journey.

Along with the final video call option, the clinic also offers phone calls, WhatsApp, and email as potential options for learning more about the surgery phases. These phases can also be found on the clinic’s website for each hair transplant method.

The clinic offers several options for contact. There is a contact form, they accept phone calls, sending an email is an option, and they accept messages through WhatsApp chat or a DM on Instagram. Responding to messages quickly is something they are proud of.

Facilities, Services, and Accommodation 3/5

Transfers are done with a VIP van.

5- star International Hotels included.

3-night accommodation included.

Operation rooms in hospitals/clinics are top-notch.

The hotel and clinic are in the central location.

CapilClinic Turkey seemingly and unfortunately provides small effort for the comfort of its patients. They provide VIP transfers so that patients’ experience can be secured during the whole process, which is great. However, the accommodation they provide could have been much better.

The clinic’s chosen hotel, the Kadikoy Inn Hotel, is a 4-star hotel that is very close to the clinic’s location. Also, a 3-night stay is not included in any of the packages, not even the premium one. Lacking a 3-night stay in a 5-star hotel is crucial for patients to benefit from the extra day of recovery. These are negative points in our framework.

That being said, at least the clinic itself is top-notch. Instead of having a separate building, it is located in the Florence Nightingale Kadikoy Hospital. In addition to looking modern and hygienic from both inside and out, the hospital also has the JCI Certification, an international certification proving the high standards of quality in health are presented in the hospital.

The clinic and the hotel are located on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, on Kadikoy. Being located in a central location, it is an easy-to-access place. It is only 37 km from Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW) and 55 km from Istanbul Airport (ISL).

Physicians and Staff: 3/5

A dermatologist or plastic surgeon is available.

An anesthesiologist for sedation is available.

The surgeon has done over 1000 hair transplants.

3 or more technicians/nurses are part of the operational team.

English-speaking physicians and staff.

Dr. Oguz Kayiran is a plastic surgeon. In our PSR framework, we prioritize doctors and surgeons who are either dermatologists or plastic surgeons since they specialize in hair transplant surgeries. That is a plus.

Also, the fact that he has over 10 years of experience in hair transplantation and has conducted thousands of surgeries makes him a good choice for hair transplantation.

Unfortunately, we cannot see and say the same for the clinic’s anesthesiologist, as there isn’t one. However, that isn’t a surprise, as sedation and local anesthesia are not mentioned anywhere on the clinic’s website.

According to online reviews, we know that the surgical work is mostly done by Dr. Kayiran himself, which we appreciate. However, we can find no information about any other doctors or even technicians on the website. So, there is no way of knowing all the people who will be responsible for your hair’s future. That is a big minus.

At least, speaking for Dr. Kayiran’s sake, we know that he is quite capable of communicating in English, so at least there should be no trouble interacting with him.

Surgery Methods and Doctor Involvement: 1/5

A doctor performs & supervises all operations.

Bio-enhancements are used for harvested graft preservation.

Only one patient a day accepted / No simultaneous operations.

Needle-free local anesthesia and sedation are available.

Laser-assisted hairline drawing and telogen/miniaturization check.

In our framework, we follow the ISHRS guideline, which states that doctor involvement in surgeries is a must. The surgeon, who is the leading doctor of the clinic, must do all surgical parts directly. So, it is a big plus that the clinic promotes this service greatly.

During and after the surgical process, graft survival is highly affected by physical stress, and recovery is difficult. That is why bio-enhancements are used to provide extra energy to transplanted grafts as a support. CapilClinic Turkey does not use these bio-enhancements in its surgeries, and that’s a minus.

In addition to leaving the number of members of the clinic blank, the clinic also does not mention any policy about accepting only one patient a day. So, it is even more difficult now to know how effective the surgical team is in preserving its energy and effectiveness throughout a whole day of patients.

As mentioned earlier, the clinic lacks information about the usage of local anesthesia and sedation. So, naturally, they do not mention using a needle-free dermojet option to reduce pain even further. As patients are apparently directly presented with the physical pain of the surgery, the clinic gets a minus point for not providing any information here.

Finally, the clinic does not consider laser-assisted hairline drawing and telogen/miniaturization checks, so it is safe to assume that these do not exist. It is especially a negative point in the case of not doing telogen and miniaturization examinations, as these are crucial in calculating the final coverage value, which becomes real 18 months after surgery.

Post-Surgery, Instructions and Aftercare: 2/5

Regular post-op doctor consultations are provided.

Re-operation guarantee or lifetime warranty available.

Online post-op instructions are easily accessible.

Post-op ATPv spray provided for increased graft survival.

Medications and shampoos are available.

On the first day after surgery, the clinic will remove the bandages from your donor area and do the first hair wash. This part is important as you get your first glimpse of how a proper hair wash should be. They also give you some vital information about what else you should pay attention to during the post-op process, such as the safe sleeping positions for your scalp.

Sadly, for patients who want to learn more about what other post-op instructions must be paid attention to, the clinic provides no information on its website. That is a minus.

At least, however, they provide post-surgery doctor consultations on a regular basis for up to a year following the surgery. That is a great addition to keeping tabs on the patients to ensure their transplant becomes a success. That is a plus from our framework to the clinic for not forgetting about their patients once the surgery is done.

During the regular post-op consultations, the clinic asks for photos from different angles of the scalp to keep track of the healing process. That way, if they notice a complication, the clinic immediately provides a re-operation under the lifetime warranty. That is a plus.

As mentioned earlier, medications and shampoo are not provided by the clinic as there is no information about them anywhere.

Similarly, since bio-enhancements are not used during the surgery, ATPv sprays (a form of bio-enhancements) are not provided in the post-transplant process. Without them, graft survival rates are greatly diminished. That is a minus.

Online Reviews: 3/5

The clinic has over 500+ online reviews.

CapilClinic Turkey is unfortunately not listed on Trustindex, which can be a red flag for some of the patients. However, for us, it is understandable not to have a profile on the platform if you rely on other reliable platforms to get diverse patient comments.

Similarly, the total number of reviews the clinic has across all platforms isn’t more than 500. In combination with the previous point, this is likely because the clinic located in Turkey is relatively new in online platforms, as the location in Spain has a lot of reviews.

Aside from these two minor negative points, though, the reviews are mostly positive. Patients seem to have a satisfactory experience, and in the case of negative comments, the clinic tries to reach them out for a re-do. They also have testimonies of their patients on the website.

Some of the bad reviews are as follows:

Before and After Photos: 3/5

Before/After photos available.

Natural-looking results (especially hairline).

Graft survival over %90.

No overharvesting.

The surgery technique is indicated.

There are countless photos of real patients on the clinic’s website and Instagram. The results look mostly natural and successful.

The graft survival rates are not bad, but they clearly could be better, as we can see from the pictures. That is probably because of not using bio-enhancements during the surgery, as achieving a +90% graft survival is almost impossible without them.

Also, it would be better if they included the surgery technique in each of these photos so that patients could compare the results and decide on a technique.

Conclusion

CapilClinic Turkey Rating

2.7

Looking at the pricing policy of CapilClinic Turkey, we are met with full transparency. That is a great start. Patients can easily know the full extent of the service they are paying for.

That being said, this transparency also makes the missing parts visible, such as having a really expensive premium package that is way above the average in other clinics, despite not providing an essential service: An aftercare kit with medications and shampoo.

The clinic generally provides good quality accommodation and transfer services to its patients, except for some of the parts: These services are at a 4-star hotel and only two nights without a rest day.

It is good to see that Dr. Oguz Kayiran personally leads the surgery of each patient under the supervision of an expert plastic surgeon. However, he is the only person in the clinic that we know anything about. There is no information about an anesthesiologist or even any other team member.

The clinic has a good online reputation, but the numbers are still quite few. It looks like the clinic still needs some time to advertise its location in Turkey. Including proper pre-op and post-op instructions on its website would be a great start to that, in our opinion.

Before and after photos on the website are quite helpful. It is a great touch to add a sidebar control to move directly between the two versions of the scalp to inspect the changes better. Our only wish is to have a short text under them explaining the technique used and the graft amount.

Lastly, we believe that they would benefit greatly from including many vital services in their packages, such as bio-enhancements, to further improve their graft survival rate. That way, they could have even better results to proudly present on the website.

Our objective rating for the clinic is 2.7/5.0 according to our Price-Service-Result (PSR) framework.

Finally, we leave the following question to you to answer and decide accordingly:

Would you trust hair’s future to a team of technicians whom you know nothing about, not their experiences, not their skills, not even their names?

FAQ

Does CapilClinic Turkey have a clear price list available?

Yes, it does; it is very transparent and in-depth. The clinic has four different all-inclusive packages that have fixed pricing for maximum grafting. So, the prices mostly change depending on the chosen transplant technique. Their most premium package, called “DHI + Stem Cells,” is 2790£, which is way above the average of the clinics in Turkey. However, some crucial services, such as pre-op and post-op consultations, do not appear in the cheaper packages. So, this price seems like the best deal the clinic can provide.

Is CapilClinic Turkey on Instagram?

Yes, the username is @capilclinic_uk. Patients can DM for questions.

Does CapilClinic Turkey have bad reviews?

Of course, like every other medical clinic, CapilClinic Turkey also has bad reviews. However, the part that requires attention is that they try to respond to each negative review by offering a fixing re-operation.
