Cosmedica Clinic Pricing Table

Cosmedica Clinic has a transparent pricing policy and provides prices along with related package details:

A 2-month Hair Power Boost Pack consisting of anti-hair loss shampoo, biotin, multi-vitamins, finasteride, and some other medications is not provided in the basic package, which is called FUE Gold. To purchase it, a client should pay at least €200 extra. 

We think post-op shampoos, medications, and other supplements should be standard in each package. 99% of clinics in Turkey provide them in all-inclusive packages, and that’s a minus.

The price seems to be fixed but up to a graft limit.

• In the FUE Gold package, the upper graft limit is 4000.
• In the DHI Sapphire package, up to 4000 grafts are implanted with a DHI pen, and for more grafts, €900 is charged (up to 6000 grafts)
• VIP DHI Sapphire package, in which incisions by Dr. Acar is included has an upper graft limit of 4000. Then €2000 is asked to implant up to 2000 additional grafts.

Depending on the team’s speed and the patient’s scalp condition, the maximum graft count in a single surgical session may change in an FUE session. So, 4000 for FUE and 3500-4000 for DHI sessions in a day is pretty standard. What’s important is the high incision, hair channels, and implantation quality with a low transection rate.

The main price dependency of the clinic is the hair transplant method and Dr. Acar’s involvement.

Cosmedica prioritizes the comfort of its patients. With 5-star accommodation and VIP transfers, the clinic takes care of everything. However, as we mentioned above, not providing important information about the phases of hair transplant operations, including travel plans and the schedule in Istanbul before the reservation, is a drawback.

All transfers, accommodation, and travel expenses are included in the all-inclusive packages in Cosmedica Clinic, so you won’t have to spend big in Turkey. Also, a 3-night stay is a default in each package. It is excellent to enjoy the city of Istanbul and take a rest after the hair transplant.

With its multilingual clinical staff, Cosmedica has taken an important step to ensure that its patients have no communication issues during the operation process.

Facilities at Cosmedica are complicated to score, as very little information is given about the clinic itself. The clinic looks modern, and the hair transplant rooms are clean and ready.

On the European side of Istanbul, the clinic is at the center of a popular place, Etiler, an easily accessible tourist place. It is only 42km from Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW) and 41km from Istanbul Airport (ISL). The biggest shopping malls in Istanbul with famous brands, Cevahir Shopping Mall, Zorlu Shopping Center, Akmerkez, and Kanyon Mall, are very close to the clinic.

Cosmedica now offers its patients an exclusive clinic stay option for 50€ extra per night. There is limited availability, and pre-booking is required for this option. For patients seeking 24-hour medical support, this option is very well designed with breakfast/dinner tailored for post-operative recovery, a complimentary minibar, and a fully equipped room.

Surgery Methods and Doctor Involvement: 2/5

Dr. Acar’s experience is a huge selling point; that’s for sure. However, Dr. Acar is fully involved in VIP surgeries which require a maximum fee to be paid. In other packages, he performs operation planning and hairline design parts.

ISHRS guidelines clearly state that the doctor should do surgical parts requiring cuts. So, according to ISHRS, not fully attending the hair transplant surgery is a red flag.

Bio-enhancements (such as organ transplant solutions) are not used in hair restoration surgeries at Dr. Acar Cosmedica Clinic. Research shows that they are crucial for transplanted hair graft survival, which is a minus for an experienced clinic.

The clinic accepts multiple patients in a day and conducts simultaneous operations. And, if you don’t purchase the Cosmedica VIP package, a technician leads the hair transplantation. So:

• How can you know how much experience that technician has? 
• Which before/after photos on the website belong to the technician? 
• What is his name, and how many years of experience does he have?

We think answers to these questions are pretty crucial in decision-making.

A centered and symmetrical hairline is drawn using a laser hairline designer and updated according to the patient’s wishes. Generally, a very low hairline is not recommended by the hair transplant doctor since hundreds of precious and limited hair grafts are required to lower the hairline for a cm.

Also, no information about telogen and miniaturization checks is provided in any source. We believe it is critical to estimate:

• Donor area graft count
• Overharvesting prevention
• Coverage calculation

It’s another disadvantage for Dr. Acar clinic.

Cosmedica Clinic uses Lateral Slit FUE, Sapphire FUE, and DHI FUE hair transplant techniques. Dr. Acar does not prefer FUT (Follicular Unit Transplant) or Artas Robotic Hair Transplant Technique.

Cosmedica has plenty of online reviews, which is quite essential for prospects looking for a reputable hair transplant clinic. However, the negative reviews are not responded to; we don’t know how the clinic handles bad outcomes.

As an organization, we want clinics to always stay behind their work and manage bad results. Everybody can make a mistake; how you manage and what you learn from a bad case are important. However, if you don’t respond, a candidate would be left with a question mark.

My consultation with Dr. acar was less than 10 minutes (timed), he eyeballed my hairline/ did not use any kind of objective measurement (no ruler or type or measurement device). Corrected one side of my hairline and not the other (I had expectations that the doctors assistent would straighten out the line upon verbal request and it did not get completed). This lead me to request a third day of operating through the what’s app concierge to revise the uneven hairline (it was uneven at temples by a distance of 1 cm). Throughout this process the techs were great, translators were excellent, when requesting revisions the Doctors assistant was resistent and appeared angry when given feedback that I measured it lopsided even before swelling had occurred/as it subsided/ after. I would suggest going to a place that uses objective measurement on all of their patients for hairline, communicates the plan effectively, as well as gives you a clear plan prior to surgery (not as the surgery was happening, this was an elective surgery- there is time to explain what the plan is unlike some nonelective/emergent surgeries).Would not come back to cosmedica, this was a stressful experience and I felt that I lacked support from the team.

Generally really regret choosing this clinic for my procedures. Here’s why:

Waited 2.5 hours past our appointment time before we were able to be seen by the doctor.

They tried to raise the prices for all the services once we got there (over 20%) even though we agreed on pricing before I made the appointment.

We asked for consultation then treatment but they tried to charge us additional 100 euro for consultation and pressured us to do treatment without consultation.

The lady that did my regenera activa did not introduce herself or speak English. I still don’t know if she was a doctor, nurse or just staff. It was frustrating to not be able to ask questions during procedure.

The general operations of the clinic is a mess. They are disorganized and it’s hard to find the right person to ask questions and you get passed off to many random people during the visit. There was very little description of after care when asked.

I recently had my hair line done at Cosmedica. This was not my first visit, I originally went to get my hair line done in 2024 as I was unhappy with my hair line but the rest of my hair was in tact.
The clinic is amazingly clean and everyone is very professional so the service is exceptional. After 12 months with my new improved hair line I felt it still lacked volume and density so I contacted Ugur via WhatsApp and he was very accommodating, we scheduled my revision treatment without any complexity.

On my second visit I also got my teeth corrected at the same time as my hair line improved.

The hair transplant cost at Dr. Acar’s clinic is affordable compared to hair transplant clinics in Europe and the US. And patients can get quality hair transplants at the clinic.

Being transparent about pricing and providing package details online is crucial to building trust. Prospects do not question whether they are overcharged.

The biggest drawback is that Dr. Acar does not perform surgical parts in FUE Gold and DHI Sapphire packages. We expect doctors to perform critical parts.

There are a lot of good reviews online and satisfied customer videos, enhancing the clinic’s reputation. Trustpilot and Google review ratings are very close to 5. Also, before and after hair transplant photos are pretty good.

He was born in 1981 in Germany and graduated from Istanbul University Capa Medicine. Currently, he is a Medical Aesthetics doctor.

After graduation, he completed Dr. Horst-Schmidt-Kliniken Medical Training, FUE, LLLT, mesotherapy, and filler application training programs.

In 2001, Dr. Acar founded Cosmedica Clinic, offering FUE and DHI FUE hair transplant techniques.

In 2019, Cosmedica opened a branch in Düsseldorf/Germany under the name of Cosmedica Haarpflege & Antiaging GmbH.
