Neither Elithair Transplant’s website nor other reliable sources mention any pre-op scalp suggestions or pre-op supplements to be used before surgery. These instructions about supportive medications prepare the scalp for the best possible result, which is a minus for the clinic.
We believe each patient is unique, and the clinic has various tools for providing personalized examinations to each patient before the surgery. However, none of these tools allow the patients to meet with the doctor one to one online. Instead, patients must wait until they come to Istanbul and start the first day of the surgery phase to meet with the doctor.
Elithair Transplant’’s website is written in French, Arabic, English, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. So, finding the right specialist to care for you will be no trouble.
You can reach the clinic via contact forms or Whatsapp. Once you submit a free online consultation form, the clinic asks for head images in every direction. On the day of your arrival, your personal private VIP shuttle picks you up at Istanbul Airport and takes you directly to the clinic. In addition to airport transfers, the clinic’s standard all-inclusive package also includes hotel and clinic transfers.
After the initial blood tests, the patients can move on to their hotel to relax. The clinic’s accommodation is a 4-star hotel, Four Points Hotel by Sheraton Istanbul Kagithane, and a 5-Star hotel called Delta Hotels by Marriott Istanbul Halic that is charged extra.
The package explicitly says that every patient will spend no more than 72 hours at the site. Including three days is crucial for an extra day to recover after surgery; this extra night is a plus.
Regarding the clinic’s design, Elithair Transplant’s building is like a modern art museum with the latest equipment and pleasing interior design. The clinic is one of the largest hair loss clinics in the world by safety standards. With the building’s size extending to 18.000 m² over 13 floors, everything is thought to make clients comfortable and relaxed. High-tech tools available within the treatment rooms are a big positive.
The facility has 54 surgery rooms distributed over two floors, all for hair transplantation. On each floor, a hair transplant surgeon works with a team of specialists for simultaneous surgeries.
It is located in Kagithane/Istanbul on the European Side of Istanbul. Elithair Transplant is 47 km from Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW) and only 34 km from Istanbul Airport (IST).

Dr. Balwi is an experienced expert hair loss specialist with more than 10 years of experience, and his surgical experiences have helped more than 10.000 patients worldwide. That’s a big plus.
But unfortunately, he is not a dermatologist. And his team does not mention the existence of any plastic surgeon anywhere on the clinic’s website. We believe that every clinic should include at least one surgeon that specializes in dermatology or plastic surgery. So, that’s a minus.
Elithair Transplant provides needle-free anesthesia with a unique technique called the Sleep-Deep Method. With this technique, patients are first put to sleep using a smaller needle that injects less deeply than ordinary anesthesia. Only after that the clinic injects the actual anesthesia to eliminate the pain of the needle and make the surgery completely painless.
The scary part is that an expert anesthesiologist should do the sedation procedure, but the clinic doesn’t have one. So, providing such a risky service without giving any credentials as to which expert doctor on their team will be responsible is a big minus for us.
Dr. Balwi has a very reputable background in treating thousands of patients. However, we are not given any information about the rest of the Elithair Transplant surgical team. Their website indicates dozens of working technicians and nurses, but their credibility in how educated they are is a mystery.

The most prominent part about Elithair Transplant’s services is that Dr. Balwi appears in almost every aspect of the process. In the clinic’s unique pre-surgery examination method called Elithair Pre-Test System, Dr. Balwi begins meeting with the patients by preparing them for the surgery. He is present during the blood tests, hairline drawing, and supervision of every transplant.
In each chosen hair method, the clinic uses certain types of bio-enhancements, such as biotin-rich serums, to increase the survival of the transplant grafts. These enhancements vitalize and strengthen hair follicles in the recipient and donor area before the treatment begins.
Similarly, despite what your chosen method is, the clinic’s fixed package includes local anesthesia and sedation with no extra fee.
