A patient can’t count hair grafts during an actual surgery lasting 6-10 hours. Maral Clinic’s fixed price for maximum grafts prevents overharvesting and false graft count reporting. A fixed price policy is standard among Turkish clinics since the cost per graft is low compared to fixed costs.
The basic package may not include a 5-star hotel and VIP airport transfers, so prospects are advised to clear these points before booking. It would be hard for a patient to find transport from the Istanbul Airport.

Maral Hair Klinik has provided the general guideline before FUE surgery. However, pre-op instructions are not patient-specific. Because every individual is unique, a personalized pre-op preparation plan is required to improve scalp condition to create the best medium for newly transplanted grafts. There is no hair transplant pre-op enhancement kit or nutritional supplement advice before the operation.
A patient can have a free 1-1 preoperative meeting with Dr. Maral and his lead technician.

When you arrive at Istanbul airport, you will be greeted by an English-speaking coordinator, and all transfers are done in a VIP vehicle if you purchase the Maral Clinic Complete Package. We are unsure whether the basic package includes the airport transfer since it is not written in the package content on the official website.
The clinic stated that it had contracted with a 5-star international hotel for the accommodation of hair transplant patients. However, online reviews show that some patients stay at 3-Star Leven Hotel, and an extra cost is charged for the 5-Star hotel. The clinic clearly indicates package contents, and the 5-star hotel is not included in the basic one. We recommend you make this point clear before the hair transplant reservation.
Also, a 3-night stay with a rest day is only provided in the complete package. Our body heals while resting, so it is crucial for the success of hair restoration surgery. That’s a half score according to our framework since we believe a 3-night stay should be the default in each hair transplant package in Turkey.

Dr. Tugrul Maral was born in Bandırma, Balıkesir in 1964. After graduating from Ankara High School in 1981, he entered the Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, which is considered one of the best medical schools in Turkey, in the same year and started his medical education. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in 1988.
Then, between 1988 and 1995, he specialized in plastic surgery at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. In 1995, he became a Plastic Surgeon Specialist.
Between 1995 and 2006, he worked as the Chief of the Plastic Surgery Dept. and the Surgical Departments at Baskent University Hospital.
He has been running his clinic in Beşiktaş/Istanbul/Turkey since 2008 and has vast experience in the field of hair transplants.
